Nearly $90,000 in Scholarships Granted at AIHce

The American Industrial Hygiene Foundation gave 25 students scholarships that ranged from $1,000 to $6,500.

Twenty-five industrial hygiene students were awarded scholarships last month from The American Industrial Hygiene Foundation ranging from $1,000 to $6,500. These scholarship recipients were honored at AIHce in Montreal, where $89,450 was given away.

“These scholarships will allow some extremely talented industrial hygiene students to complete their education and encourage the most promising scholars to enter or remain in the profession,” said AIHF President David S. Abrams, CIH, in a AIHF statement. “The AIHF has now awarded more than $1.4 million since the endowment was funded. We’ve been able to help over 500 students in that time.”

The funds were generated from contributions from American Industrial Hygiene Association members, companies, local sections, and individuals.
