University Medial Center Brackenridge in Austin, Texas, has received this honor, making it the first of its kind to received merit status, the second-highest accolade in OSHA's Voluntary Protection Program.
While other hospitals in the nation have reached this level of honor, this is the first facility equipped to handle Level 1 trauma scenarios.
