New Construction Safety Certification Pathways Announced

Partnership aligns workforce training with professional credentialing standards to streamline career advancement for safety leaders.

The Board of Certified Safety Professionals and the National Center for Construction Education and Research have expanded their strategic partnership to align certification pathways and enhance safety standards within the construction industry.

The collaboration connects professional safety credentialing with workforce development programs. Leadership initiatives, including the Construction Foreman Certification Program, now directly address the knowledge and skills required for professional certification exam blueprints.

Under the updated alignment, the Field Safety curriculum corresponds with the requirements for the Safety Trained Supervisor Construction certification. Additionally, the Safety Technology curriculum aligns with the blueprint for the Construction Health and Safety Technician credential.

This alignment provides workers a defined path toward professional certification, aiming to accelerate career growth while maintaining consistent safety practices across the industry.

The two organizations are also collaborating on joint research initiatives focused on construction jobsite safety and the evolving demands of modern high-hazard environments.
