The Eighth Fully Networked Car workshop, organized jointly by ITU, ISO, and the IEC, will be held in association with Geneva's International Motor Show. Last year, the event attracted more than 100 experts from around the world and covered a series of interactive discussions on the need for standardization for electric vehicles, driver distraction and vehicle safety, ITS communications, and standards for cooperative ITS systems. Participants also gained insight into the challenges and opportunities that are present in under-developed markets.
The 2013 FNC will again be moderated by Richard Parry-Jones, a former industry executive with the Ford Motor Company. It will cover further developments in these areas and new solutions or challenges that have arisen since 2012. Participants will be treated to formal tours of several exhibits on the show floor.
