NSC and Safety On The Edge Announce Strategic Co-Location for 2026 Events in Baltimore

The National Safety Council and Safety On The Edge Global Forum will unite for the first time at the Baltimore Convention Center in May 2026, creating a premier global platform for innovation, leadership, and the future of workplace safety.

The National Safety Council (NSC) and the Safety On the Edge (SOTE) Global Forum announced a landmark partnership to co-locate their flagship events next year, combining two of the safety industry’s most influential gatherings into one.

For the first time, the NSC Safety Summit and Safety On the Edge Global Forum will be held together at the Baltimore Convention Center in May 2026, offering a unified platform for safety professionals, researchers, and leaders from around the world.

The NSC Safety Summit — an evolution of the organization’s Spring Safety Conference and Expo — will feature programming focused on leadership, the Future of EHS, Human and Organizational Performance (HOP), and the Campbell Institute. Attendees can expect keynote sessions with top industry experts, professional development seminars offering CEUs, and networking opportunities that emphasize collaboration and connection.

Meanwhile, the Safety On The Edge Global Forum will continue its focus on cutting-edge topics like artificial intelligence, mental health, safety culture, and leadership. The forum is known for pushing the boundaries of traditional safety thinking, emphasizing innovation and prevention of serious injuries and fatalities through multidisciplinary collaboration.

“This partnership is about more than just sharing a venue—it’s about sharing a vision,” said Lorraine Martin, CEO of NSC. “By uniting the academic and industry connections of SOTE with the proven safety leadership of the NSC Safety Summit, we are creating a space where the safety community can grow, evolve, and build a safer future, together.”

SOTE co-founders Corrie Pitzer, CEO of Safemap International, and Malcolm Staves, Global VP Health & Safety for L’Oréal, echoed that sentiment. “Our mission has always been to push the boundaries of what safety can be,” they said in a joint statement. “By aligning with NSC, we’re amplifying that mission and creating a platform where innovation meets leadership—where the edge becomes the new center.”

The collaboration underscores both organizations’ shared goal of advancing the future of safety through innovation, leadership, and community engagement.
