NSC's Journey Continues in Philadelphia Next Year

San Diego's sprawling convention center, located right on the harbor, successfully accommodated the more than 10,000 EH&S professionals who attended last week’s NSC Congress & Expo. In 2011, the show will move East to Philadelphia, Oct. 30-Nov. 4 (with the Expo taking place Oct. 31-Nov. 2).

NSC has made “The Journey Continues” the theme for next year’s event, which will take place at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in downtown Philadelphia. The center is currently undergoing an expansion and is scheduled for completion in March 2011. When finished, it will have 1 million square feet of saleable space and will be the largest contiguous exhibit space in the Northeast.

In addition to participating in the expo events, attendees will have plenty to see and do in one of the country's oldest and most historic cities. The City of Brotherly Love was founded in 1682 and is home to the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall, where colonists adopted the Declaration of Independence in 1776. The U.S. Constitution was written in the city in 1787, and it served as the nation’s capital from 1791 to 1800. Today, the Philadelphia is the fifth-largest city in the U.S. and the second-largest on the East Coast.

The 2012 Congress & Expo will be Oct. 21-26 in Orlando, and the 2013 event will be in Chicago for its 100th anniversary.
