Wishing to Sample Local Fare? ASSE Has You Covered

ASSE Region III and ASSE South Texas Chapter from San Antonio are proudly presenting a Night Out at Rio Cibolo Ranch as an evening that is intended to put attendees in the mood for the Wild West of Texas, on Monday, June 29, from 6-10 p.m.

Those in attendance will enjoy an authentic, western-style rodeo performance, armadillo races, moonlit hay rides, and a chance to feed some Texas Longhorns. For dinner, guests will feast on a Texas Western Round-Up dinner buffet, enjoy a live band, and learn to line-dance. A game room also offers sawdust shuffleboard or foosball.

As the night winds down, enjoy tales from a resident historian about the old west and the battle for Texas independence around open fire pits while roasting marshmallows.

The fun continues the following evening with a Texas Hold 'em and Casino Night from 7-10:30 p.m.

Texas cowboy Benny Binion is credited for taking poker from Texas to Vegas and making it the most popular game played today. On Tuesday night, ASSE will be bringing the games back to Texas. Whether the preference is poker or casino games--such as blackjack and roulette--there will be something for everyone. This is a "play for fun" event where everyone can be a winner. Seating is limited, so register early. All proceeds from this event will benefit the ASSE Foundation. No one under age of 21 admitted.
