Uvex Launches New Web Site

Sperian Protection today announced the launch of a redesigned Web site for Smithfield, R.I.-based Uvex®, Sperian's flagship brand of safety eyewear, goggles, and faceshields. The new site, www.uvex.us, is intended for safety professionals and distributors alike.

Extensive field research with safety professionals brought about the improved site, according to Uvex, which listed these elements of the site's new functionality:

  • Selection tools: "At-a-glance" icons provide guidance in evaluating and selecting optimal eyewear for an application based on five user-defined filters: Hazard Type, Style, Certifications, Coatings, and Tints. Users can compare models based on Performance, Comfort, Total-Cost-of-Ownership Value, and the Overall model.
  • Easier navigation
  • Comprehensive content

The site's visitors will soon see a Culture of Safety section (it is now under construction) that houses resources to help safety professionals build a culture of safety inside their organizations, Uvex said.
