ERISA Advisory Council Working Groups Announce Sept. 29 Teleconference

The Advisory Council on Employee Welfare and Pension Benefit Plans, known as the ERISA Advisory Council, will convene by teleconference Sept. 29 to discuss reports and recommendations by its working groups to be submitted to the secretary of labor.

The meeting will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. EDT. The advisory council plans to begin with the Working Group on the Spend Down of Retirement Assets, followed by the Working Group on Hard to Value Assets/Target Date Funds, and concluding with the Working Group on Phased Retirement.

The meeting is open to the public. Those who wish to listen to the teleconference may do so at the U.S. Department of Labor, 200 Constitution Ave. N.W., Room C5515-B in Washington, D.C. Public comments may be submitted by Sept. 22 to Larry Good, the council's executive secretary.
