All-Day Workshop Seeks to Train the Trainer
Let's face it, no matter how hard you try to avoid it, everybody hits a snag in their career every now and then. And regardless of where you work, if your job description includes safety training, snags can cost the lives if your employees if they have stopped listening to you.
As a trainer, it can become frustrating when trainees don't seem to learn or otherwise benefit from your efforts. But where can you go for help?
NSC has the answer with Professional Development Seminar #224, titled "If I'm Teaching, Why Aren't They Learning?" This atypical workshop, which takes place in room 210C on Thursday, 8a.m.-4:30 p.m., is designed to both educate and involve attendees in the process of improving their training courses. All those attending will be equal participants in the day's agenda and topics.
Methods and approaches will include demonstrations, hands-on, small group work, role-playing, games, discussion, question/answer, brainstorming, and brief video clips.
