Sperian Fire Brand Announced: Turnout Gear, Gas Detectors, SCBAs

Sperian Protection announced its new brand, Sperian Fire, today and said it includes the Survivair®, Securitex™ and BioSystems™ brands. The reorganization is part of a three-part program for product development and innovation that will directly involve firefighters, the company said.

The three parts are: 1. Feedback Battalion™, launched earlier this year as the first online advisory panel of firefighters. Feedback Battalion facilitates communication with active firefighters -- more than 700 have served as panelists thus far; 2. an "ActionReady" designation for high-performance turnout gear, gas detectors, and SCBAs that are rugged and easy to use; and 3. the ProvenTested quality assurance program. Products bearing the ProvenTested seal of quality are tested internally in Sperian Fire facilities before being sent to be externally tested by a third-party company and used in the field by firefighters.
