New Code of Ethics Nears Vote by AIHA, ACGIH Boards

A new Code of Ethics is coming to a vote soon by the AIHA and ACGIH boards of directors. Members of AIHA, the Academy of Industrial Hygiene, and ACGIH have filed comments for the past two months on proposed revisions to the current code, which was adopted in 1995 by AAIH, ABIH, ACGIH, and AIHA -- which every applicant accepts by signing his or her membership application.

A task force of AIHA members has reviewed the comments and offered several drafts on AIHA's Web site. The final draft is now available online in PDF format; visit http://www.aiha.org/Content/AboutAIHA/newethicalprinciples.htm for information.

Questions or comments should be e-mailed to [email protected] no later than today, May 14, AIHA said.
