State mandatory law compliance and state marijuana law issues are certainly concerns that company program managers must deal with. However, ADA issues may be far more problematic.

With such overwhelming support, one could assume that legalization has clear benefits for everyone. That assumption is not only costly, it could prove to be dead wrong.
Since reporting began June 15, more than 1,400 suspect opioid overdoses have been reported, and 206 of those were reported deaths. The data indicate 77 percent of possible opioid overdoses had an opioid prescription prior to their recent overdose and the vast majority of overdoses occur at personal residences.
"The opening of a licensed dispensary on Oahu is a major milestone for the more than 5,000 qualified patients and caregivers in Honolulu," said Health Director Dr. Virginia Pressler. "Our staff continues to work with all the licensees as they build their facilities and business operations in compliance with county and state laws to ensure product and patient safety."
The law creates a Cannabis Control Commission to regulate the recreational and medical marijuana industries. The commission also will set potency limits for edible marijuana products and adopt packaging requirements that conform to a detailed list of health and safety protections.
"We are committed to working with all partners across the country to combat the overdose crisis. Supervised consumption sites are an important part of a comprehensive response," said Jane Philpott, Canada's minister of Health.
States with the lowest rates included Massachusetts (3.49 percent), Vermont (3.49 percent), Florida (3.47 percent), Montana (3.46 percent), and Minnesota (3.41 percent).
More than $12 million going to 23 states and to Washington, D.C., will strengthen prevention efforts and enable better tracking of opioid-related overdoses. CDC indicated it expects to announce more funding for state opioid overdose prevention programs later this summer.
This is the first report to highlight the differences in cancer deaths based on geographic location.
Driving under the influence of marijuana is illegal in any state, but to enforce the law, authorities need a reliable roadside test for marijuana intoxication. More research will still be needed to understand how breath levels of THC correlate with blood levels and what blood levels of THC indicate impairment.
The monitoring will occur under the Federal Employees' Compensation Act.

Comparing opioid use for workers injured in 2010 and 2013 over an average two-year period following the injury, the study found reductions in the average amount of opioids dispensed to injured workers in several states, with larger reductions seen in Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, and New York.

The drop includes the use of e-cigarettes.

FDA will use the July 10-11 meeting to engage outside experts in a discussion of how it can better leverage existing data sources and methods to evaluate the impact of these products in the real world and what new data sources and study designs could be used to ensure the efforts result in the best possible answers to inform regulatory decision-making.
