More than 500 attendees from the 2024 Safety+ Symposium enjoyed a night out at Denver's Coors Field on Wednesday, August 28, as the Colorado Rockies took on the Miami Marlins. The event, organized by the Voluntary Protection Programs Participants' Association (VPPPA), marked the closing night of the four-day symposium.
The night included a pregame tailgate on the Gaylord Rockies verandah, where attendees gathered for snacks and beverages before heading to the game. Buses transported participants to and from Coors Field. Decked out in tie-dye attire, the VPPPA crowd—also received a $10 concession credit—made their presence known.
“It's the perfect ending to a wonderful four days of learning, networking and fun,” VPPPA Executive Director Chris Williams said in a statement. “From the tailgate celebration pre-game to helping fans understand who we are and our mission to advance health and safety excellence, VPPPA was out in full force representing the very best of our association and profession.”
This gathering served not only as a celebratory conclusion to the symposium but also as an opportunity to highlight the organization's dedication to health and safety excellence. And in the end, VPPPA attendees were among those who cheered on the Colorado Rockies to an 8-2 victory over the Miami Marlins.
