DOE Awards Contract for Hanford Site Occupational Medical Services

DOE's announcement said the total estimated value of the contract is up to approximately $152 million.

The U.S. Department of Energy awarded a new contract Dec. 31 to HPM Corporation of Kennewick, Wash., under which the company will provide a variety of services at the Hanford Site. The Hanford Occupational Medical Services Contract was awarded under full and open competition, according to DOE; HPM Corporation is the current provider of occupational medical services to the Hanford Site.

DOE's announcement said the total estimated value of the contract is up to approximately $152 million. The period of performance includes a base period of three years (including a transition period of 90 days) and two option periods of two years, for a total of seven years.

It says the contract is divided into three types of contract scope: 1) Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP); 2) Cost Reimbursement; and 3) Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ). HPM Corporation must maintain a "readiness to serve" capability sufficient to support a workforce of more than 9,000, the announcement states.
