ASTM Committee F45 on Driverless Automatic Guided Industrial Vehicles will hold its eighth bi-annual meeting Dec. 11-12 at Omron Electronics in Annecy-Argonay, France. All ASTM Committee F45 members and their guests are invited to the working meeting.

The committee was formed in 2014. It addresses issues related to performance standards and guidance materials for automatic guided vehicles through autonomous (e.g., mobile robots) unmanned ground vehicles with industrial applications. A-UGV applications include, but are not limited to, indoor warehouse, manufacturing, and medical facilities and outdoor security and shipyards.

The committee also works closely with industrial vehicle safety standards organizations. It has approximately 60 members. F45 members meet face-to-face twice each year, with approximately 35 members attending two to three days of technical meeting that typically include vehicle test method demonstrations. F45 has five technical subcommittees that meet virtually on a monthly basis.
