OSHA Renews Partnership with Arkansas General Contractors

OSHA has teamed up with the Arkansas Chapter of the Associated General Contractors of America.

OSHA's Little Rock Office and the Arkansas Chapter of the Associated General Contractors of America have renewed a strategic partnership to increase access to material and knowledge that aims to promote understanding of the workplace safety and health rights of workers and employers. The partnership is for three years.

The partnership will cover issues that include falls from elevated work surfaces, electrocution, heat illness, exposure to hazardous chemicals, struck-by and caught-in or -between hazards. Safety and health information will be provided in English and Spanish to both construction and general industry workers.

"The strategic partnership between OSHA and 200 member companies in Arkansas' construction industry shows a shared commitment to provide a safe work environment by improving participating contractors' safety and health management systems and increasing safety awareness through outreach and training," said Carlos Reynolds, OSHA's area director in Little Rock.
