Respiratory Protection vs. Source Control: What's New in Respiratory Protection?

ASTM International announced approval of a nonregulatory standard for barrier face coverings in response to the COVID-19 pandemic in February of 2021. The standard establishes minimum care, design, labeling, and performance requirements for reusable barrier face coverings. This webinar will explore the four main types of barrier protection and source control products available to workers. We will identify the differences in protection levels, filtration comfort and use of Face Masks, ASTM certified Barrier Face coverings, Surgical Masks and Respirators.

The second part of the webinar will discuss the recent NIOSH-approved respirators, elastomeric half-mask respirators (EHMRs) without  exhalation valves. This design change will introduce a new level of protection for frontline and essential workers.
