Live from NSC Day 2

Day 2 featured more quality demos and packed educational sessions.

Day 2 at NSC started bright early, with a breakfast session put on by Honeywell Salisbury to discuss electrical safety and the reasons why complying with the standards is so important. Viral videos, images and stories help keep electrical safety in the mind of those who need it most.

At 10 a.m., OSHA's Patrick Kapust, deputy director of Directorate of Enforcement Programs, revealed the top ten safety violations in 2016, which was topped by Fall Protection with 6,929 violations.

Over at the Industrial Scientific Corp. booth, product managers continued to demo the Radius BZ1 Area Monitor and LENS Wireless, as well as the award-winning Ventis Pro Multi-Gas Monitors and LENS Wireless.

Later on, David Francis of Little Giant Ladders lead a session titled, "Fines, Fatalities and the Future of Fall Protection." Francis and other speakers discussed why reducing fall-related injuries is becoming a top priorities for companies, as well as how initiatives involving senior management and cross-functional teams can increase safety performance over time.

Elsewhere at the show, Environmental Protection NPOY-winning New Pig continued to showcase its impressive Grippy Mat, and Columbia Southern University connected with alumni while also showcasing its CSP Prep Course.
