Volvo Truck Recall Reaches 100 Percent Completion

The DOT announced nearly all of the 16,000 heavy trucks subject to recall have been accounted for.

The rule makes electronic registration mandatory (with the availability of a waiver process) beginning Jan. 4, 2020. The next biennial registration period will be Oct. 1 through Dec. 31, 2016.

Senate Confirms New FDA Commissioner

UL Certification Available for Hoverboards

The new UL 2272 provides a framework to evaluate, test, and certify self-balancing scooters, the company announced Feb. 2.

NHTSA reported 51 million U.S. vehicles were recalled during 2015, and on average 25 percent of all recalled vehicles are not repaired.

Pace of Takata Airbag Recall Repairs Increasing

Three automakers have expanded their Takata passenger inflator recalls to include more model years or additional vehicles and/or inflators from model years affected by existing recalls, according to the NHTSA announcement, which said the expansions resulted from Takata's ballistic testing conducted in recent months.
