OSHA has fined Environmental Remediation Services a total of $142,200 for violations.

A new scoring system addresses these categories: structural integrity, safety, maintainability, reliability, fuel economy, emissions, noise, and performance.
OSHA issued the company 12 citations for safety failures.
"The choices facing Metro about its headquarters building are clear: Either expend millions to retrofit the existing building to bring it up to modern fire and life safety standards or sell the building at the top of its potential value range and use those proceeds to fund a relocation," explained GM/CEO Paul J. CSB is currently investigating a sulfuric acid spill that occurred Feb. 12, 2014, at the refinery in Martinez, Calif. It burned two workers in the refinery's alkylation unit who were transported by air ambulance to the nearest hospital burn unit.
