Safety 2025 Showcases Growth, Connection and Innovation; Anaheim to Host 2026 Event

ASSP’s Safety 2025 conference in Orlando brought together safety professionals from around the world to focus on innovation, leadership development, and peer connection—setting the stage for the 65th annual event in Anaheim in 2026.

Thousands of occupational safety and health professionals gathered last week at Safety 2025, the American Society of Safety Professionals’ (ASSP) annual Professional Development Conference and Expo. Held at the Orange County Convention Center, the event emphasized networking, leadership and a growing embrace of innovation in the safety field.

The three-day event featured more than 200 sessions, keynotes and hands-on experiences tailored to safety professionals at all career stages. Attendees participated in morning wellness events like the Rise & Shine Speedy Stroll, engaged in structured peer networking and attended panels covering risk management, mental health, safety technology, diversity and more.

Shasta Nelson, a leading voice on workplace connection, delivered the opening keynote, highlighting the role of positive relationships in building safer, more resilient workforces.

“Connection is no longer a soft skill—it’s a strategic safety imperative,” Nelson said.

The ASSP Marketplace buzzed with live demos and product showcases, including deep dives into ASSP’s Safety Trekr AI™, a closed-model digital assistant that provides real-time safety answers based on content from the Safety Professionals Handbook.

“2025 was a historic year,” said Dawn Conroy, ASSP’s Director of Marketing Strategy. “And it marks a turning point for how we share safety knowledge, connect across industries and support the next generation of safety leaders.”

ASSP is already preparing for next year’s milestone event.
