Over 100,000 COVID-19 Hospitalizations Recorded in the U.S.
A new record of coronavirus hospitalizations in the United States was reached on December 2.

The United States reached a new record of 100,000 coronavirus-related hospitalizations on December 2, according to NPR.
Data from John Hopkins University’s COVID Tracking Project reported 100,226 people that were hospitalized due to COVID-19. There were 2,804 deaths recorded on December 2 as well.
These numbers arrive after the news of Moderna’s application for FDA authorization was submitted.
CDC director Robert R. Redfield predicts that coronavirus-related deaths will be close to 450,000 by February due to the approaching winter months. He warns that the time period between now and February will be “the most difficult in the public health history of the nation.”
