COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations continue to climb in the United States, with an expected increase in coronavirus-related deaths as well, according to CNN.
November 5 marked a new record in COVID-19 infections, with over 121,000 infections. As of November 6, there are more than 53,000 coronavirus patients in the country, per the COVID Tracking Project.
The CDC predicts that there will be an additional 31,000 deaths due to the virus in the next two weeks.
States such as New York, Connecticut and Rhode Island have announced plans to reinstate measures—like the ones that were in place during the spring— to help stop the spread.
