Preparing for NSC 2019 Congress & Expo

The National Safety Council is expecting more than 15,000 safety professionals to attend the annual Congress & Expo this month.

The National Safety Council is expecting thousands of safety professionals to attend the annual Congress & Expo this month. The conference will feature more than 1,100 exhibitors, over 150 education seminars and four keynote sessions, allowing attendees to tailor their NSC experience to their safety needs.

Since there will be so much to see and a lot to do at the San Diego Convention Center, OH&S is putting together a guide of hot sessions to keep your eye out for. In order to stay organized, the NSC recommends downloading the NSC 2019 Congress & Expo app. You can find it in Apple App Store or get it on Google Play.

There will be several notable speakers at the Congress & Expo leading the keynote sessions including Mick Ebling, founder and CEO of Not Impossible Labs, Nancy Case, vice president of environment, health and safety at The Mosaic Co., Danyelle Phelps, director of enterprise environmental and operations sustainability at Owens Corning, Catherine Sheane, a civil/structures sustainability and resilience practice lead at Parsons Corp, Jack Jonson, a senior safety consultant with SafeStart and Jim Carroll, an international futurist, trends and innovation expert.

“Preventable workplace deaths in the U.S. have increased each year for the past four years, illustrating that more needs to be done to protect our workforce,” said Lorraine M. Martin, president and CEO of the National Safety Council in a press release. “Congress & Expo attendees have the opportunity to gain insight and tools that can make a valuable difference in their organization’s safety operation. We look forward to seeing what the best and brightest in safety have to offer when it comes to eliminating preventable deaths and injuries in the workplace.”
