Headed to San Diego

I am eager to fully submerse myself in the safety industry by making new connections

The OH&S team is headed to San Diego, Calif. to join over 15,000 safety professionals from across the country— and from all over the world—at the National Safety Council’s Congress & Expo this month. While this is not my first safety trade show, it will be the biggest one I have attended thus far with over 1,000 booths in the expo hall and a several days packed with educational sessions, keynotes and networking opportunities at the San Diego Convention Center.

Traveling to trade shows is my favorite activity as an Editor because I get to be up close and personal with the people who are working to adhere to the safety standards of their industry. It makes my responsibility of cultivating educational and thought provoking content for the magazine and its digital platform, www. ohsonline.com, that much easier when I have an opportunity to network with the thought leaders of the industry in person.

I’ll be hopping from keynotes and educational sessions to the Expo where I will see the latest and greatest products. Because of this, there is a good chance you might see me at the show this year. If you do, please stop me to say hello. Tell me about the company you work for and why you traveled to San Diego to attend NSC. I would love to hear what information from OH&S that is relevant to you and what I can do to continue to bring you the latest safety news in the industry.

If you are not attending NSC 2019 this year, don’t fret! The OH&S team plans on bringing the show to you through our “Live From NSC 2019” program. Two weeks before NSC 2019, we will begin gathering all the news from the show on our website at www.ohsonline.com/ live. This landing page will be your top source to view the live happenings from the trade show floor. Social media posts from Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin will appear on the page from those who are exhibiting or attending show as well as updates from OH&S. As always, you can also count on OH&S eNewsletters to be delivered directly to your inbox with all the latest headlines from San Diego.

Whether you plan on attending the show, or will be following the news from your smartphone or computer, I invite you to reach out and introduce yourself. I am eager to submerse myself completely in the safety industry by making new connections, speaking face-to-face with safety professionals and learning as much as I can from the experts.
