OSHA Partners with Construction Contractor to Promote Workplace Safety in Atlanta

OSHA has entered into a partnership with an Atlanta, Ga. contractor to promote workplace safety during construction project.

OSHA has signed a strategic partnership with Holder Construction Group LLC to promote worker safety and health during the construction of Project Fusion on West Peachtree Street in Atlanta, Ga.

The partnership seeks to prevent injuries and exposure to hazards during the new construction of a two-tower high-rise building totaling one million square feet. The new building will consist of a daycare, dining area, main lobby, roof gardens, conference center and 17 parking and 27 office levels.

The partners will take steps to prevent hazards related to falls, struck-by, caught-in/between, electrical, silica, noise and heat exposure. The partners will also encourage contractors to develop and implement safety and health programs and provide safety and health training to employees, employers and supervisors.

Through the Strategic Partnership Program, OSHA works with employers, employees, professional and trade associations, labor organizations, and other interested stakeholders to establish specific goals, strategies, and performance measures to improve worker safety and health.
