ANSI Publishes Report on 2018 U.S.-German Standards Panel

The April event focused on securing future technologies, cybersecurity, and other challenges, as well as solutions for smart manufacturing, mobility, and agriculture.

ANSI, the American National Standards Institute, recently released the comprehensive report from the U.S.-German Standards Panel 2018, which was hosted by ANSI, the German Institute for Standardization (DIN), and the German Commission for Electrical, Electronic & Information Technologies of DIN and VDE (DKE).

The April event focused on securing future technologies, cybersecurity, and other challenges, as well as solutions for smart manufacturing, mobility, and agriculture.

ANSI's announcement said it and DIN typically hold this type of collaborative initiative every two years and have plans to meet in 2019 in Germany. "The sessions certainly shed light upon the various challenges the standards and conformance community is facing in leading technology areas and how we are all working to identify solutions and action items to address the challenges together as we move forward," said S. Joe Bhatia, president and CEO of ANSI.
