2017 AFG Application Period Under Way

Since 2001, AFG grants have helped firefighters and other first responders obtain equipment, protective gear, emergency vehicles, training, and other resources necessary for protecting the public and emergency personnel.

The application period is under way for 2017 Assistance to Firefighters Grants (AFG), which are federal FEMA grants to help meet the firefighting and emergency response needs of fire departments and non-affiliated emergency medical service organizations. The application period opened Dec. 26, 2017, and will close on Friday, Feb. 2 at 5 p.m. Eastern time.
