Senate HELP Executive Session Set on OSHA Nominee
The U.S. Senate Health, Labor, Education & Pensions Committee has scheduled a Dec. 13 executive session to consider the nomination of Scott Mugno to be assistant secretary of Labor for Occupational Safety and Health, the head of OSHA, and five other nominees.
The U.S. Senate Health, Labor, Education & Pensions (HELP) Committee has scheduled a Dec. 13 executive session to consider the nomination of Scott Mugno to be assistant secretary of Labor for Occupational Safety and Health, the head of OSHA, and five other nominees. But a webcast of the hearing will not be offered, and there is not a scheduled start time shown on the committee's hearing announcement.
The executive session is also to consider these nominees:
- Johnny Collett to be assistant secretary for Special Education and Rehabilitative Services, U.S. Department of Education
- Kate O'Scannlain to be solicitor of the U.S. Department of Labor
- Preston Rutledge to be assistant secretary of Labor for the Employee Benefits Security Administration
- William Beach, Ph.D., to be commissioner of Labor Statistics, U.S. Department of Labor
- Brigadier General Mitchell Zais, USA (Ret.) to be deputy secretary, Department of Education
- James Blew to be assistant secretary for Planning, Evaluation, and Policy Development, Department of Education
The announcement said additional nominations cleared for action could also be considered.
