Kawasaki Motors Recalls 15,000 ATVs

The company has received 18 reports of fuel leaks from the vehicles' fuel tap. No injuries have been reported.

Kawasaki Motors Corp. U.S.A., of Foothill Ranch, Calif., on Aug. 10 recalled about 15,000 all-terrain vehicles because their fuel tap can leak, which poses a fire hazard, the Consumer Product Safety Commission announced. The recalled ATVs are 2013-2017 KFX50 and 2012-2017 KFX90 four-wheeled vehicles.

According to CPSC, the company has received 18 reports of fuel leakage from the vehicles' fuel tap. No injuries have been reported. Customers should immediately stop using the recalled ATVs and should contact Kawasaki for a free repair. The vehicles were sold by Kawasaki dealers nationwide from October 2011 through May 2017 for between $2,000 and $2,600.
