Safety 2018 Set for San Antonio

The June 3-6, 2018, conference and expo looks to build on the record attendance and exhibitor numbers of the 2017 event in Denver.

DENVER -- The American Society of Safety Engineers is wrapping up its Safety 2017 Professional Development Conference & Exposition here on June 22 with some final educational sessions, an Executive Summit, the BCSP Award of Excellence luncheon, and the closing general session from 3-4 p.m. Once the event is finished, members and exhibitors can look ahead to the 2018 event one year from now in San Antonio.

The dates are June 3-6, 2018. Exhibitors were already busy here nailing down their booth space for that event at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center.

The Alamo City's many attractions include its famous River Walk; its beautiful botanical garden and Brackenridge Park; Tex-Mex restaurants, bars, and galleries clustered downtown and along the water; SeaWorld San Antonio; Six Flags Fiesta Texas; and, of course, the Alamo, which is only a few minutes' walk away from the convention center. Shopping fans can head to El Mercado, the city's Market Square downtown, to shop for jewelry, clothing, and more at the indoor/outdoor market.

Safety 2017 in Denver set new records for attendee registrations, topping 5,000 for the first time, as well as exhibitors -- at least 640, surpassing the previous event record of 615, the society announced June 1.
