AIHF Welcomed New Board at AIHce Expo 2017
The American Industrial Hygiene Foundation officially welcomed the board during the conference in Seattle.
The American Industrial Hygiene Foundation (AIHF) announced in a release that it has welcomed its new Board of Trustees at last week's AIHce conference and expo in Seattle. The foundation recently awarded a total of $131,800 in scholarships to 51 industrial hygiene students, according to the report.
The board now includes President Deborah I. Nelson, Ph.D., CIH; President-Elect Cynthia A. Ostrowski, CIH; and Vice President Kathleen S. Murphy, CIH.
During the conference, the board hosted the 31st Annual FunRun, in which more than 250 professionals and family members participated. The proceeds of the run go to future scholarship recipients.
"The board is happy to announce that after receiving fourteen FunRun sponsorships, revenue is ahead by 45 percent over 2016 and we are committed to keeping up this momentum," said Nelson. "AIHF's mission is to enable talented students to complete their educations in industrial hygiene and related disciplines. They are the future of protecting worker health."
