The Oregon OSHA document covers the selection of head-to-toe PPE.

OR-OSHA Guide Explains PPE Selection for Applying Pesticides

It covers head-to-toe protection, including charts comparing the protection of various coverall types and chemical-resistant glove options.

Oregon OSHA has posted a helpful document about selecting the right PPE to protect workers who are applying pesticides. It explains the importance of reading the label for hazard information and how to choose chemical-resistant materials according to their resistance level category, A through H.

A chart in the document compares the protection provided by commonly used pesticide coveralls, and a second chart lists resistance level categories for chemical-resistant gloves. Chemical-resistant footwear, aprons, and hoods/hats are discussed, as are vision protection and respiratory protection.

It discusses the required replacement schedule for respirator canisters/filters, as well as cleaning and storage of PPE.
