Hazard Communication – Past, Present and Future
It has been 38 years since the Hazard Communication Standard (HCS) was first adopted by OSHA for the manufacturing industry. Since that time a great number of changes have been made to the HCS including the introduction of the Global Harmonized System (GHS) which helped standardize the information given to employees who handle hazardous chemicals.
In 2022, OSHA is looking to adopt even more changes to HCS to better protect employees in the workplace. This webinar will review the original HCS requirements, the additional GHS provisions added in 2012 and several of the proposed changes that could help better protect American workers.
