More than 60% of injuries reported by oil and gas workers occur to the hand.
The numerous on-site hazards means that workers are threatened by cuts, abrasions, crushing, blunt force impact, and pinching injuries. Furthermore, a great number of these injuries are “struck by” incidents, which contribute to the most claims, costs, and work-days lost. According to the latest data from the National Safety Council, the average cost of a single hand injury is $21,918 (indemnity and medical costs).
There are proven ways to reduce the amount of injuries sustained. Experts from Superior Glove and DuPont will teach you how to:
- Reduce or eliminate all hand and arm injuries.
- Save money in cost and in safety.
- Reduce redundancy and ensure the proper glove for each task.
