This Month is National Safety Month

Every year, the month of June is dedicated to protecting workers on and offsite. This year, National Safety Month will cover worker mental health, ergonomics, building a safety culture and driving—among other topics. Find out what you’re missing!

Now more than ever, safety is crucial in and out of the workplace for employees. Every June, the National Safety Council (NSC) observes National Safety Month by providing employers and employees with important information to save lives and prevent injuries.

In years past, National Safety Month took a different topic each week of the month to focus on. However, given the current state of the world, this year, National Safety Month will provide real-time, relevant resources on a variety of topics for keeping workers safe in the “new normal.”

To access the free materials on pressing topics, sign up! To become an NSC Member, click here.

Some of the especially pressing topics of conversation this month for workers are mental health, ergonomics, building a safety culture and driving.

This year’s public materials will include a poster, tip sheets, articles, social media graphics and more. NSC members get everything the public gets, plus 5-Minute Safety Talks, additional posters, videos and more. For access to both free and membership materials, see the NSC National Safety Month webpage.

You can also donate to NSC—and if you donate before June 30, 100 percent of your donation will be matched up to $25,000 to support the National Safety Council SAFER effort, which addresses the safety needs of the nation’s workforce now and post-pandemic.
