DOL Awards More than $1.6M to Silicon Valley Workers Affected by Layoffs

The money has been awarded to the NOVA Workforce Board

According to a news release, the DOL has approved a National Dislocated Worker Grant of up to $3.2 million for reemployment and training services to workers affected by layoffs at 70 companies in San Mateo and northern Santa Clara counties.

The funding has been awarded to the NOVA Workforce Board, which will help these workers develop the necessary skills for employment. Approximately 920 workers will be served.
