The NTSB has issued a report on the Rear Seat Safety in Passenger Vehicles workshop that held on April 26, 2016. The report provides a summary of the discussions held during breakout sessions.

The workshop brought experts together from the safety and health community to discuss short- and long-term steps that could improve safety for rear-seated passengers. Recent studies have shown that the protection offered to rear seated passengers has not advanced as quickly as protection for front seat occupants.
