Concrete Pipe Company First High-Hazard Firm with Two Gold Sites in Michigan
Northern Concrete Pipe, Inc.'s Lansing plant is scheduled to receive the CET Gold Award for an outstanding safety and health record from the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration on July 18. The plant has gone more than 887 days without a lost-time accident, according to MIOSHA.
The company's Bay City facility also qualified for the CET Gold Award; Northern Concrete Pipe is the first high-hazard manufacturing company in Michigan to quality for the CET Gold Award in two locations, according to the agency, which is part of the Michigan Department of Labor & Economic Growth.
CET Awards are based on excellent safety and health performance. The Gold Award recognizes a safety record of 100,000 t0 2 million continuous hours worked without days away from work, based on the employer's size and type of business.
