Nuts and Bolts of Total Worker Health® Strategies

Date: Tuesday November 19, 2024 at 2:00pm ET - 1:00pm CT - 11:00am PT

Work, workplaces, and workforces are changing. Schedule flexibility, interactions with teammates and supervisors, and virtual workplaces are among the factors that impact our work experiences, which then impacts safety, performance, and business outcomes. Total Worker Health (TWH) approaches can help address organizational policies to improve the psychosocial work environment, job design, and supervisor support. By highlighting shared goals across an organization, a diversity of professionals can collaborate to prevent injuries and advance worker safety, health, and well-being.

This session will provide updates about TWH approaches as well as an introduction to the NIOSH Worker Well-Being Questionnaire (WellBQ), designed to assess the well-being of a workforce.  Learn how jobs can impact the well-being of workers, discover how to apply TWH strategies to prioritize upstream risk factors, and gain take home tools that can help you track progress in the safety, health, and well-being of workers.
