Date: Thursday July 25, 2024 at 2:00pm ET - 1:00pm CT - 11:00am PT

Construction remains one of the most dangerous industries.1 According to Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) data, in recent years nearly 1 in 5 workplace deaths occurred in the construction industry and approximately 38% of these deaths were due to falls, slips, and trips.2

Selecting the right PPE and safety equipment including Type I and Type II head protection, fall harnesses and self-retracting devices, and even custom engineered fall protection systems for your jobsite requires consideration of several important steps and factors. In this webinar with MSA safety experts and trainers, you’ll get an overview of the following to help inform the implementation of a comprehensive safety program:

  • Steps to conduct during a Hazard Assessment of your jobsite and application
  • Differences in Type I and Type II head protection
  • Considerations based on the latest OSHA Safety and Health Bulletin on head protection
  • ABCs of Fall Protection and the impact of ANSI standards updates
  • Benefits of custom engineered fall protection systems and solutions

Following the webinar, you’ll have a better understanding of why hazard assessments are important first step in PPE selection, key things to keep in mind when choosing head protection and fall protection PPE, and when custom engineered solutions may be suitable for your worksite or facility.
