Understanding How NFPA 70E and Other Standards Establish Electrical Safety at High Voltages
Many industrial commercial users of power have both high and low voltage installations, yet many are puzzled by which regulations to follow. We have seen users default to full flash suits, simply because they are working with high voltage. At a recent standards meeting, a group of experts went off on a tangent and began discussing the differences between the rule sets. If the experts are asking these kinds of questions, then end users probably have the same questions, too.
This webinar first defines and then discusses the standards and regulations for low and high voltage installations. We will discuss how these standards should be implemented via a risk assessment. Finally, we will conclude with the applicable use of the various shock and arc rated PPE and clothing required for each of these voltage levels. The webinar caters for both safety professionals and electrical specialists.
