Hugh Hoagland Presents: Equipment Labeling for Electrical Arc Flash and Electrical Shock Hazards
Electrical safety compliance may be difficult to achieve, especially, since many safety specialists may not necessarily have a detailed understanding of electrical equipment contained inside industrial control panels. An electrical hazard label may be able to bridge that gap and offer safety specialists sufficient information to determine whether a worker is complying to all safety requirements.
This webinar dissects the information contained in an electrical hazard label to discuss the specific electrical hazards, the electrical specific risk assessment process, and associated risk control methods. The discussion branches out to cover the requirements of the NEC, OSHA 1910 Subpart S, and the NFPA 70E-2021 Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace. The written electrical safety program, electrical maintenance, risk assessments, and personnel protective equipment for shock and arc flash will be discussed. The presentation concludes with best practices on electrical hazard labeling.
