OHS SuperCast May 29, 2014
Fall protection still held the top spot among OSHA's list of most-cited standards during FY 2013, and respiratory protection and electrical safety ranked fourth and fifth on that list. Falling short of effective compliance with these standards costs companies thousands of dollars in penalties every year, such as an Illinois company cited and fined more than $155,000 for electrical safety and other violations in early 2014.
This May 29, 2014, Supercast features experts in all three areas, including experts who work for OSHA, NIOSH, and CPWR - The Center for Construction Research and Training, offering new information on the national campaign to prevent construction falls and guidance for ensuring workers are protected from respiratory and electrical hazards.
At this webinar, you will learn: Construction safety leaders from OSHA, NIOSH and CPWR will point to the leading killer of construction workers – falls from heights – and offer resources provided through the Safety Pays, Falls Cost campaign to end this national tragedy. The webinar will also expand on a new, construction-focused initiative to be announced mid-March of this year.
