The OSHA recordkeeping standard, 29 CFR 1904, requires covered employers to prepare and maintain a record of serious occupational injuries and illnesses by using the OSHA 300 Log. Employers often fall short of full compliance with the standard, however, as evidenced by OSHA's decision in 2010 to open a National Emphasis Program focused on injury and illness recordkeeping.
This webinar will discuss the importance of recordkeeping, will share how to use and maintain the key forms (including the 300 Log), and will explain how to determine recordability in a wide variety of situations.

Bill Taylor is a Certified Safety Specialist with The EI Group, Inc., who has more than 35 years of experience in the field. Recordkeeping is one of his specialties. Prior to joining The EI Group, he served as Vice President and was Co-owner of Coble, Taylor & Jones Safety Associates, LLC in Cary, N.C. Mr. Taylor also has served as Safety Coordinator for the City of Durham, N.C., and as Corporate Safety Director for James I. Miller Tobacco Company in Wilson, N.C. He is an OSHA Outreach instructor, a past ASSE chapter President, a published author, and a frequent speaker/trainer in various fields.
