Since 2009 OSHA has been actively seeking to adopt components of the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals, (GHS) in an effort to enhance the hazard communication standard and simplify global trade. Assuming there are no further complications, GHS should become a final rule in 2012.

GHS has been the topic of more safety discussions than any other subject since the hazard communication standard was first introduced. Yet a recent Poll conducted by OHSonline.com suggests that over 50% of the companies surveyed have done absolutely nothing to prepare for this inevitable event. Additionally only 9% of those in the poll have taken steps to begin training their employees which suggest that many of you reading this are going to be scrambling to catch up when the rule is finally adopted.

The good news is you do not have to wait for the rule change to take advantage of the benefits that will ultimately be derived from introducing GHS in your workplace. We invite you to attend this webinar to see how GHS is being used today in several workplaces to enhance worker comprehension and safety.
