Learn how Baker Hughes, a leading oilfield services company, further reduces risk of incidents across global operations and improves productivity by going beyond compliance.
Operations and EHS leaders in asset-intensive industries are placing renewed focus on ensuring effective incident management as essential to reducing operational risks, preventing accidents, and running more efficiently. Effective incident management not only avoids negative, costly events such as major accidents and workplace injuries and illnesses, but also provides a competitive edge, improves productivity and helps ensure safe, sustainable operations.
Leading organizations like Baker Hughes are choosing to “go beyond compliance” and set aggressive goals of zero incidents and impacts, and adopting integrated EHS, risk and quality management systems that align with industry standards such as OSHAS 18001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9000 to drive continuous performance improvement. Incident management is a key element of these systems, and is increasingly relied on to proactively identify and control operational risks, and prevent adverse events in the first place.
