Southern Oregon to Host Annual Occupational Safety & Health Conference in October

The three-day event in Ashland will bring together safety leaders, workers, and regulators to share best practices and strategies for safer workplaces.

Safety professionals, business leaders and regulators from across Oregon and Northern California will gather this fall for the Southern Oregon Occupational Safety & Health Conference, set for October 14-16 at the Ashland Hills Hotel.

The event, co-sponsored by Oregon OSHA and the Southern Oregon Chapter of the American Society of Safety Professionals, is one of the region’s largest workplace safety gatherings. Organizers say it provides practical training, networking, and resources for companies committed to reducing job-related hazards.

The conference agenda includes professional development workshops, keynote addresses from regional and national experts, and an exhibit hall showcasing the latest safety tools and services. One recurring feature — Safety Committee University — offers free online resources created by the planning committee to strengthen workplace safety programs statewide.

Exhibitor and sponsorship opportunities remain open, while nominations are being accepted for the conference’s annual safety awards. Submissions are due by September 3.

“The Southern Oregon conference has become a cornerstone for safety education in the region,” Oregon OSHA representatives said in a statement. “It’s an opportunity for employers and employees alike to gain skills that protect workers and build stronger safety cultures.”
The Ashland Hills Hotel, located at 2525 Ashland Street, will serve as the host venue. Organizers recommend early registration to secure access to sessions and networking opportunities.

For updates on speakers, workshops, and registration details, attendees can sign up for email alerts through Oregon OSHA’s conference website.
