ASSP Launches Safety Trekr AI to Revolutionize Access to Safety Guidance

The new Safety Trekr AI platform delivers fast, trusted safety guidance using artificial intelligence and verified content from a 1,330-page professional handbook.

The American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) has officially launched Safety Trekr AI, a breakthrough artificial intelligence platform designed to streamline how safety experts access trusted workplace safety guidance.

Unveiled at the Safety 2025 Professional Development Conference and Exposition in Orlando, the tool leverages the full content of ASSP’s 1,330-page Safety Professionals Handbook, Third Edition to deliver real-time, accurate insights in response to user queries—on any device.

“This is very new technology, and we’re excited about that,” said Dawn Conroy, ASSP’s Director of Marketing Strategy. “It’s mobile optimized and works just as effectively on a desktop or laptop. Whether you need fast answers or deeper insights, it adds tremendous credibility and transparency to the information safety professionals rely on.”

Real-Time, Reliable, and Multilingual

Safety Trekr AI uses natural language processing to understand how professionals ask questions and instantly generate relevant responses. The platform can translate responses into multiple languages, eliminating communication barriers and making it highly functional for global teams and diverse workforces.

Unlike open-source AI platforms, Safety Trekr AI runs on a closed, curated engine built exclusively on verified content from ASSP’s handbook. This ensures both accuracy and trust in the system’s output, which often includes practical tools such as actionable checklists, regulatory summaries, and concise risk assessments.

An Innovation Designed for Speed and Impact

The AI system can synthesize complex technical information in seconds—turning what once took hours of research into rapid, high-impact decision-making in the field or office.

“In today’s dynamic work environments, Safety Trekr AI empowers safety professionals to perform their jobs with unprecedented speed and effectiveness,” said ASSP President Linda Tapp, CSP, ALCM, CPTD. “While users can still explore the handbook manually, now they also have a tool that delivers immediate, trusted guidance when time is critical.”

Tapp also highlighted the AI’s global reach: “It’s remarkable how this tool understands a question in plain language and delivers clear answers—even in the user’s native language. When communication obstacles are removed, we unlock the full potential of safer, more inclusive workplaces.”

Hands-On Debut in Orlando

Attendees at Safety 2025 experienced a hands-on preview of the technology during live demos in the ASSP Marketplace and a dedicated Tech Talk on the platform’s development and use cases. The launch underscores ASSP’s commitment to digital innovation and knowledge accessibility in service of worker well-being.
